Welcome to Connectus Utilities
As a trusted building, planning and project management contractor, TKS Development are continuing to expand and develop, through their work in Essex and the surrounding areas.
They put their faith in Connectus, when utilities are required, to ensure that access to essential services is uninterrupted on their commercial and residential projects.
This includes refits and refurbishments, which can use the existing power supply, extensions and new builds, that require multi-utility connections.
Applications have to be made for utility connections, before quotations can be gathered and compared, taking into account cost considerations.
Tendering for a DNO (Distribution Network Operator), which is region-specific, must be completed before connecting any power system to the electricity grid.
TKS Development are benefitting from coming to Connectus Utilities with their utility requirements, which is saving them time, money and hassle.
An example saw them secure contestable works at over £65,000 less than what they were originally quoted, by going through Connectus.
The lower price was with an IDNO (Independent Distribution Network Operator), who are also connected to the power network.
Contestable works allow the customer to choose who carries out certain parts of the connection process, which gives them more options.
This was to place electricity points for 48 commercial units, with water and telecoms also connected for each space, making them turn-key utilities.
The savings tally on utilities for TKS Development continues to rise, the more that they work with Connectus, whether it’s for additions, conversions or even their own office.
When TKS Development moved into their new headquarters, Connectus were asked to arrange metering for the building, which was arranged in a timely manner.
Shopping around for quotations, on the client’s behalf, is often lowering the final price with the DNO, IDNO and ICP (Independent Connections Provider).
Various residential sites, in the form of houses and flats, have also been dealt with by Connectus, which included gas.
TKS Development are also calling upon Connectus for asset planning, to find the utilities that affect a specific site, along with responses from providers and a map of the designated area.
In the ever-evolving landscape of utility infrastructure, time is money and every decision that you make should be a strategic one. Connectus Utilities is not just a service – It’s a change on how you should manage your utility needs.
