Diaphragm Meters

These are the most common type of residential gas meter. They use chambers with flexible diaphragms to measure gas flow. As gas flows through the chambers, it causes the diaphragms to expand and contract, which moves gears that count the gas volume.

Rotary Meters

Common in industrial or high-volume settings, rotary meters use rotating impellers to measure the flow of gas. They are highly accurate and durable.
